New House Design
We have experience in many types of houses from a simple two bedroom cottage to a large six bedroom farmhouse to three storey town houses.
We work either for the private individual or the developer and prepare the drawings to the individuals designs and requirements but with our expect guidance.
Due to the size of the practice we keep new build projects to a small level and design only a few a year and because of this we are able to offer a personal one to one service.
The two examples shown here are as follows:-
Development of Five Houses:
A range of four and five bedroom houses on old farm site We were asked to obtain planning permission to replace an old disused farm complex on the edge of a village with a range of dwellings. The images you see were used in the planning application. Our brief was that the site was to be sold on gaining the planning approval so we had full flexibility with the design brief. We feel that with the aid of 3D drawings (see separate page) we were able to provide the planners and neighbouring property a good indication as to how the finished development would look.
Five bedroom farm house:
This house has been designed for a private farming client who is expanding the farm size and now needs to live on site. The house has been detailed to fit in with its surrounding properties and is located on a hilltop, so not only did we design its aspects so that it would take in the amazing views, but we also had to be mindful of protecting the occupants for the elements as much as possible. In addition to the farmhouse we also designed and detailed the new agricultural buildings for the new farm as well.
We were delighted when asked to design this house for a developer that we have worked with in the past as a speculative build.
It is not very often you get the chance to design and detail such an impressive house. The level of quality of this house is second to none and this house was completed in late 2006 and was marketed for sale through Savills with an asking price of £1.25 million and sold within 4 weeks of hitting the market……………………………
